We're excited to introduce you to an incredible member of our #PoPFam , Margret Mary Debre! She leads PoP's WASH program in Ghana. The United Nations Development Programme (UNDP ) estimates that more than 400 million school days are lost each year because of water and sanitation-related diseases. With guidance from leaders like Margret, we're enhancing the wellbeing of families and creating opportunities for students to become agents of change.
What does it take to be a #PoPNinja ? Just ask @omaha_pop club leader and @anwnation competitor Mike Galeski ! "Growth comes from discomfort," he says. Mike is on a mission to inspire change by raising awareness for Pencils of Promise and tackling NBC’s notorious obstacle course. Follow Mike on his journey for Global Education, @thepencilninja
We believe education is more than the four walls that make up a classroom. So, this year, we plan to distribute 2,400 e-readers to our students in Ghana and Guatemala, packed with culturally relevant and age-appropriate material in both local and national languages. And now, these kids hold their future in the palm of their hands.
Who says a smile can't change the world? We're absolutely thrilled to partner with our Global Ambassador @ShawnMendes & @SmileDirectClub to bring quality education to thousands of kids in Ghana, Guatemala and Laos. For every aligner purchased between February 26 - March 4, they will generously donate $10 to PoP. Link in bio! #EducationforAll
